Jez had long dreamed to have a learned wife, at least a university graduate mostly because he was not learned. But this dream did not come through the way he planned it. He later got married to Betty a university drop-out, she never finished her studies because of financial issues. She also dreamed of becoming a financial expert which was motivated by the kind of hardship she suffered in her father’s house. Betty watched as her dreamed slipped off her hands because of lack of finance.
After her marriage to Jez, they both continued to keep their dreams alive by sharing it with each other every day. From sharing it, they began to plan to achieve it, from planning they acted towards it.
Like about 6months after their marriage, Betty went back to school as Jez doubled his job to double his earnings to keep up to her financial needs. Betty gave no chance as she studied hard much harder than her mates even as she carried pregnancy to term during her studies.
In a couple of years she had completed her studies. She proceeded to search for a job and to fulfill her career. Their dream came through at last. They later had another child.
Betty later got a job, a high profiled job in an oil company. Soon their dreams which came through turn sour as Jez started to feel that Betty had outgrown him, he was intimidated by Betty’s success.
Soon Betty became carried away by her success that she started to ignore her husband and two kids. She leaves so early and come back late leaving her responsibilities to her maidservant.
As communication was lost between the two, temptation sets in. Betty’s immediate boss started to make advances on her but asked her to think about it. In the quest of thinking about the offer, her mind went back on who she was before she met Jez. She realized that Jez was actually her success. She quickly went back to right her wrongs, said no to her boss and resolved to apologize to her husband and kids.
Before she could get back home Jez had left with the kids after he tried to withstand the pressure friends and family put on him but failed. When Betty got home and could not find them, and no other had a clue about their way-about. Betty was scared and immediately drove off to find them. She drove at high speed and reckless too, she was out of control. She later crashed on a stationary vehicle at the side of the road as she lost control of the wheels.
Jez rushed to the hospital when he heard of the incident, behold Betty suffered minor injuries in her head and limbs, it was a miracle they all confessed. Jez later brought the kids to the hospital to meet with their mother. Betty was glad when she saw them and immediately apologized to them all. They forgave her and everyone learnt their lessons. Soon she was discharged and she went back to work, she made her home her first priority. Jez was surprised as he never felt intimidated any longer even as he was not learned.
