The Plantation

When Levi heard of the economic breakdown in his country, he reasoned on how he can help the situation. Also as a young man who just finished his degree abroad (Nithland), he decided to go home and start a new life. His parents Dr. and Mrs Dana were against his decision and persuaded him to get a job. Levi carefully explained why he made that decision which after listening to him they have no other choice but to agree with him.

In 2months time Levi arrived Gathom his country, he was reunited with his family and friends. Levi later noticed that all his plans could not fit in to the economy of Gathom, he was left in confusion in which other way to go. For 3weeks he walked around looking for direction yet found none. He gave up at last and concluded he would go back to Nithland, he later related his decision to his family which they agreed on. Yet to initiate the process of his departure, he discovered his father had acquired plots of land situated in an area known for farming. When he asked his father (Dr. Dana), he explained that the land was acquired with a plan to build a steel mining factory but he lacked the funds to fulfill the plan and since then the land remained empty and useless.

Back in Nithland, Levi had participated in an agricultural improvement conference where a gene-manipulated grape was introduced to farmers all over the globe to cultivate and explore. Levi brought a business plan to the family table and it was to grow the grape on that land. He was able to defend his plan before his learned parents and siblings.

So he ordered for the crop from Nithland, when it arrived he sorted for advice from professionals on how to grow the crop for better fruit yielding capacity. Soon the grape had started growing, protection and other measures were applied which helped the grape plant.

When the plant was ready to be harvested, Levi had made important contact abroad on the buyers. When the grapes were harvested, they were packaged and exported. The Dana family was happy when they earned their first foreign currency. As time passed, they could no longer handle the grape plantation alone that they started hiring laborers to work for them.

The Dana family had their first official meeting for Dana plantation where they named the plantation after their family name, voted Levi as the CEO while other family members were voted into different offices. They named Dr. Dana the owner of the plantation and the documents were prepared in his name. Levi took so many business trips abroad which help to broaden their customers. In one of his trips, he came across a seminar on how to convert a grape to wine. Levi prolonged his trip duration, went for the seminar and in a week time was ready to make his first wine from Dana grape.

Back in Gathom Levi published the good news to his family and the whole house was filled with the excitement of the new idea. They hired foreign contractors to build the wine making factory. In addition to the laborers and staff of Dana plantation, they hired more staff for Dana Wine. By the time the wine factory started, they had hired more than 2000 workers and Levi had brought into his country an initiative that succeeded in providing employment for his countrymen. Levi looked further to initiate more business ideas that would help his country’s economy and provide job for the poor masses. To also help the situation, Dana family raised a cancer foundation to help cancer patients financially more because Dr. Dana lost his mother untimely because of the ailment. With all these mentioned achievements, Levi was ready to do more.

This mindset they supported saying that women are the one that conceive and carry the baby to term, therefore inability to conceive should be addressed to them. This is not true because men have an equal part to play just as women.
