The six space scientists (4 fair and 2 dark skinned) were set to visit planet Mas from Armenica. They have handled all logistics and were assured they were ready for the adventure. On that weather favored day, they took off and landed safely on Mas after few days.
Mas seemed empty and lifeless as they explored further. This emptiness continued until they got a surprise. They saw a hut, they were scared to check the inside. Finally they courageously entered and saw a skeleton loosely grabbing a scroll on its hand. As they opened the scroll, it was written in an unknown language but one of them managed to translate what was inscribed in it.
It reads, “All were good and fine, men were going about their duties until I observe these strange birds in the sky. As one who studied animals and like creatures, I knew such bird had not been in Mas but it did not give me much concern. Lizards had been our companion for ages and are known for their fearlessness because no one cared to hurt them. Suddenly I observed that these lizards had become fearful and are not easily seen in the open but in their hiding place, yet I did not show any concern. This continued until one day, I saw these strange birds broke a cage I used in keeping my experimental animals and took away the lizards I kept there, all of them. As I pondered over the incident and related it to the character change of these creatures, I decided to investigate the matter. I went in search of the other hiding lizards, I found out that they are gone that I couldn’t find one. I started to raise alarm concerning my findings but I was severely shut down by my fellow animal scientists. They accused me of trying to make myself popular. I refused to give up and continued in my search. The birds later disappeared and they said the birds were just migrating birds which had gone back to their base. I refused to listen to them and kept asking myself what was going on. Two years came and passed as I was worn out asking those questions, I later decided to let it die down. Ready to start all over again, I observed some strange movement around. I began to see strange men quite similar to us but wore heavy clothing. When I investigated, I found out they have lighter skin much lighter than ours because we were dark skinned. I refused to sound an alarm as I did with the strange birds because it was clear no one would believe me. Something made me believe that these men and those strange birds have something in common and that they are not by any way connected to Mas.
As I was to figure out who these men were, people started to disappear from Mas to an unknown location. This caused a great ciaos situation as there were tears in every family, father looking for his wife and children, and in some families their parents were no more. My fears grew higher, but each time I tried to confront these men or any of them, they would swiftly outrun me and disappear. So I resolved they are evil and the cause of several disappearances of the people of Mas. One day as I woke up, everyone was gone except me. When I looked around and could not find my family and neighbors I wondered why they spared me. Soon a great multitude of these strange men approached me, this time they were not on heavy clothing and they cloths were nothing similar to ours. Their looks were strange as I observed their long hair.
I thought they would take me as they did to others, but when they came close, they spoke to me in strange language and I was surprise as I understood what they said. They told me to go and tell the story. I watched as they disappeared into the air on a strange flying machine.
I could not bear the pain, the pain of my lost loved ones, the pain of isolation. I wrote all these on this scroll and cursed Mas, soon all living creature remaining turned to ashes and now am waiting patiently for my death.”
After reading from the scroll, the six space scientists were astonished and quickly began to make deductions on all they heard. They deducted that the people of Mas were somehow similar to their dark skinned among them and that they shared similar features. They also related the aliens to those of them that are white skinned. They questioned if the dark skinned individuals in Armenica are descendant of the people of Mas. They gathered their findings and departed for Armenica, their joy of successful exploration of Mas was turned to questions and confusion. When they got to Armenica, they kept their discovery a secret and sourced for a history related to their discovery. Surprisingly, they found none, yet they refused to believe the scroll but inside each and every one of them truth was written all over their encounter at Mas.
