Ndewo lyrics:

Verse1:

I wake up in the morning and I go on my knees and begin to pray
I thank you father for giving me a brand new day
Because many people slept last night and many cannot wake and see the day
But see me today, I dey kampe
Today be the day
Only you my father, only you can love me the way you do
(Na only you, nani gi Chineke) …2x

Chorus:

Ndewo, Chukwuoma ndewo …2x
No be say na me holy pass, no be say na me righteous pass papa
Ndewo, Chukwuoma ndewo
Kuwara ya aka mara mma eh
Ndewo, Chukwuoma ndewo

Verse2:

O boro chi kele Chukwu n’eme mma eh
If you can wake up see the morning sun
Better lift your hands and give him all the praise
He’s the only one provider
He’s the only one protecter
He’s the only one king, the only one ruler
He’s my everything
Only my father
Only you can love me the way you do
Na only you, nani gi Chineke

Chorus:

Brigde:

A gam ahu ihe ga eme ka m njawa Chineke mma
Wetin you do for me I no fit talk o, the way you blessing me I no fit shout
A gam ahu ihe ga eme ka m njawa Chineke mma

Chorus:

'Ndewo' means 'well done'. In this dance-able sound of praise, Timi Toba took time to name some out of the innumerable ways God had been good to him. He went forth to offer sacrifice of praise to Him.

Instrumentals:

The ushering sound of the xylophone created an atmosphere of African praise which is supported by the sound of some African music instruments. Worthy to note is the sound of bass guitar and the keyboard. The vocals were well delivered.

Music Album: Frankincense by Frank Edwards

Frank Edward's Biography:

Within the last of the tomb

Within the last of the tomb Are fresh and quick sand The hairs rough and needed comb Whom the owners sought for a land When bitterness taste like it is from honeycomb Men stood and roll their last band Not of victory but cry of a lost womb Of a child who was at hand Those left behind blasted by a bomb Their remains soon would turn manure sold for few rand Within the last of the tomb Are bodies which testify failure of a magic wand.
