Song lyrics: Nye Ya Ekele by Frank Edwards

After the release of the album, Frankincense on 20th April, Frank Edwards @FRANKRICHBOY promised the song would get to the market on Monday April 25 via Honesty music. I happened to get the song yesterday from my local CD dealer and it was awesome listening to the songs. It is worthy to note that the album is currently rated number one on iTunes.

Nye ya ekele lyrics:

Verse1:

Jesu mi, Elegbami o
To you be praised, ye ye ye
Jehovah mi, Alagbara
To you be praised
If no be you, where we for dey o
If no be you, who we for be
If no be you, where we for go
Adupe o, oba to njobalo
Lord we declare your majesty
For you are God

Chorus:

K’ayi je nye ya ekele
Onye mere k’ayi di ndu n’uwa, I mela o

Verse2:

Even when the wind blows
I no dey fear lie lie
Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning
Standing on the solid rock
Nothing fit move me
Even if they try, Baba God no one dey try you
Who can battle with the Lord
I say no body
Who can battle with the Lord
I say no body
Ehe, o dim ka na nro ihe I na emerem ebuka o
Oba to njobalo
Lord we declare your majesty
For you are God

Chorus:

‘Nye ya ekele’ means ‘Give Him Thanks’. Frank Edwards gave yet another lyrical of worship to the almighty God calling Him names in English, Igbo and Yoruba languages. He then borrowed lyrical lines from popular ancient worship songs.

Instrumentals:

The intro by the harmonizing vocals and the acoustic guitar ushered in the song. The sound of the piano, bass guitar, violin and other sound effects made the song more than complete. the lead voice was as usual superb as well as the backups.

If you in Nigeria, visit any CD shop and the Album Frankincense or click the link to buy the song online if you are not in Nigeria or not disposed.
